DANNY WRIGHT – HELP

Already a leading name in the UK’s thriving pop-punk scene, Danny Wright latest single Help is a coming of age song, revealing vulnerability and seeking shelter from an unforgiving world. Help is a real release of emotion, resonating with his intentions of allowing his fans to ‘let go’ through his music. It’s cathartic and chaotic and establishes Danny as a true pop-punk pioneer on a global scale.

DEAF SURF – STRANGERS

Making a name for themselves in Brighton’s busy post-punk scene, Deaf Surf’s Strangers is a frustration-fuelled frenzy of intensity and passion-punk. Produced by Boe Weaver on the Isle of Wight, whose credits include Lauran Hibberd and The Estevans, Strangers was born out of lockdown and Deaf Surf’s willingness to give something creative back to the world. Post-punk is on the rise and Deaf Surf are establishing themselves as firm favourites in the movements.

EARL GRAY COLLECTIVE – LANDSLIDE

Blurring the fine line between pop and rock, South London’s Earl Gray Collective write indie tunes with a bite. Uplifting and potential to hit the mainstream, while maintaining a raw rock sound, Earl Gray Collective have produced a really solid track that can be compared to the likes of Amber Run and Saint Raymond. Well worth a shot in your playlists this summer!

LITTLE BROTHER ELI – PERFECT

Maroon 5 meets Led Zeppelin, Oxfordshire’s Little Brother Eli latest release Perfect was originally intended as a Kickstarter reward-only track, but following such a great response, the four-piece decided to release it as an official single. Infusing driving synths with filthy drum production and Tom Grennan-esque vocals, it’s a track that really packs a punch and one that sits them alongside the UK’s best in synth-rock.

NIXON TATE – GENTLE AND RUTHLESS

Delicate and melancholic in equal measure, Stoke storyteller Nixon Tate’s debut solo offering Gentle And Ruthless is an ode to old relationships and questioning how they went so wrong. Gently laid upon keys and accompanied beautifully by strings, it’s a peaceful ballad and assets Nixon’s new-found presence among the country’s songwriting greats.

PRETTY UGLY BOY – HIGH BROW

Bedroom pop with 80’s-esque synths and dreamy vocals, Pretty Ugly Boy is the recording project of Los Angeles’ Kaleb Zamudio. It really does feel like it’s been taken right from an 80’s fantasy movie, with a hook that could be from a gameshow – it’s really uplifting and screams out massive potential. It’s the sort of song you’d expect to hear in TV adverts, and this is backed up by there being an Instrumental version on Spotify… in fact, it really does leave you wanting a lot more from Pretty Ugly Boy so I’m excited to see where this project takes Kaleb next.
